It’s like visiting a new city in a new country. You don’t speak the language, don’t know the cultural norms, don’t know what everything costs & there he is..

..standing with a friendly gaze.. waiting for you to ask him for a ride to the nearest city tourist attraction..and before you know it..

you’ve paid a flight ticket’s worth of a 3-minute ride from your hotel to the place that was at best a 3/10.

That my friends, is the tourist tax.

And it’s true for anything new you start.

You will have to pay the tourist tax.

The first six months of a new venture in a new industry = tourist tax

Hiring for the first time = tourist tax

Raising funds for the first time = tourist tax

There’s no escaping the tourist tax.
